NEWS! First mobilepositioning experimentation was carried out in Arabianranta school. Check out the introduction presentation, that was shown to the pupils.

Introduction
Focus is on mapping the places and spaces for learning outside the school building; neighborhood perspective. Work package contains study of combining Interactive maps (softGIS) and mobile positioning. Method used is walking through combined to Brieftec Binder –application. Outcomes are map of a learning neighborhood and ideas for learning portal.

Preliminary Research Questions

• Which environmental factors (affordances) are perceived promoting learning?
• How mobile positioning and multimedia technology works when mapping the local knowledge and how it can be utilized as a part of the development forums on the Internet?
