Spatial Intensity – The Virtual in Architecture

A possible starting point is to consider the distinction between the newish concept of what is perceived as truly virtual , i.e. not comprised of the physical, and the fashionable but very old idea of augmented reality . An example of the former would be the virtual links that already exist between geographically unconnected physical spaces such as the internet and the applications that function within it, whereas the latter is actual, physical space with something added. It is this kind of modified space that is of primary interest to InnoArch: actual changes to the spaces we inhabit be they context sensitive, static or changing, controlled or uncontrolled.
